A Bit More Sane

November 3, 2009

While there are still areas to watch over the southern Gulf and Caribbean Sea, things look a bit more plausible to me than they did yesterday. It looks like something may be trying to organize off the coast of Costa Rica. Basically, if that happens, it will take a lot to get it to the Louisiana coast. The more likely scenario is that something will develop down there, and either shoot off to the east, or be destroyed by strong wind shear near the northern Gulf coast. It’s an interesting set up for this time of year, and I’ll keep watching it. Whatever it is, it could bring a bout of heavy rain early next week.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny and pleasant. Highs will be in the middle 70s.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear and nice once again. Lows will be in the upper 40s.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny. More of the same. Highs will be in the middle 70s.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear and cool. Lows will be near 50.

Thursday: Mostly sunny and nice. Highs will be in the middle 70s.

Friday through Monday: Rain chances will creep back in late Sunday: Highs will range from 75-80, with lows rising from the upper 40s to the middle 60s due to an increase in moisture. Rain chances stay out of the forecast Friday and Saturday. Sunday they return at 30%, and I’ll raise those rain chances to 40% on Monday.
