The Rain Train is Here Again

October 12, 2009

More rain is in the cards for the entire area. It looks like we’ll keep off and on rain and cloudy skies in here through Friday morning. Then a nice taste of fall arrives. As we’ve been basking in our “much cooler” near 70 degree highs, areas like Denver Colorado have seen highs in the middle 20s! That’s record breaking cold. While that kind of cold isn’t on the way, it is a sign that the cold airmasses are getting stronger as we get later into fall.

Monday: Cloudy with an 80% chance for rain and a few thunderstorms. Highs will be in the upper 70s with variable wind around 5-10 mph.

Monday Night: Cloudy with a 50% chance for showers and thunderstorms. Lows will be near 70.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with a 70% chance for showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the lower 80s.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy with a 40% chance for showers and thunderstorms.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with a 50% chance for showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the middle to upper 80s.

Thursday through Sunday: Rain chances are around 60% for Thursday and Thursday night. There could be a few strong thunderstorms ahead of the cold front that will give us great weekend weather. Friday through Sunday will bring partly sunny skies with highs in the upper 60s to middle 70s along with much lower humidity. Lows on Thursday morning will be near 70, but will fall into the upper 50s on Friday, and the upper 40s to near 50 on Saturday and Sunday. Sounds refreshing!
