Strong Storms and Cool Mornings

September 28, 2009

We’ll have to wait a few days on the threat of strong storms, but cool mornings look like they’ll show up as soon as tomorrow. It looks like widespread “open the window” weather will be here by Wednesday morning. Here are the comfy details!

Monday: Partly sunny with a slight chance for a shower. Highs will be near 90 with wind turning from the west to the northwest at 5-10 mph.

Monday Night: Mostly clear and cooler. Lows will be in the upper 50s to near 60. Wind will be from the north around 5 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with lower humidity. Highs will be in the lower 80s.

Tuesday Night: Nice and almost chilly! Lows will be in the lower to middle 50s.

Wednesday: Mostly clear. Highs will be in the lower to middle 80s.

Thursday through Sunday: Thursday will most likely be dry and close to normal for this time of year. Lows will be in the lower 60s with highs near 85. Friday is the day that could bring some storms. Some could be rather strong, though the worst will stay to our north. Highs will be in the lower 80s Friday after a start in the upper 60s. I’ll put rain chances at 60% for Friday. Saturday and Sunday are a tricky forecast right now. The front will slow a great deal as it passes us, but I will lean toward a stronger front, thus lower rain chances for Saturday and Sunday. I’ll go with a 20% chance for rain Saturday and Sunday with highs in the lower 80s, and lows in the upper 50s. Stay tuned on the weekend forecast. Things could change in the next couple of days.
