Ugly Weather

September 12, 2009

Everything is falling in line for us to get loads of rain through at least Monday. Let me suggest you run to the store early this morning and grab some stuff to make some gumbo, or stew, or chili, or anything else that can just sit and cook inside all day long! It’s going to one of those days. Actually, we’re going to see several of “those days”.

Saturday: Off and on heavy rain with a few thunderstorms possible. Highs will be near 80 with easterly wind around 5-15 mph.

Saturday Night: Rain will continue off and on all through te night. Lows will be in the lower 70s.

Sunday: Rain and thunderstorms will continue. Highs will be in the lower 80s.

Sunday Night: There is a 60% chance for rain and thunderstorms. Lows will be in the lower 70s.

Monday: There is a 70% chance for rain and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the lower to middle 80s.

Tuesday through Friday: It still looks fairly wet to me during this time frame, though not as bad as the next couple of days. Rain chances should slide from about 60% on Tuesday back to the 40% range by Thursday and Friday. My more reliable model is gung ho about keeping rain chances higher than this, and if this remains the case over the next couple of days, I might raise rain chances for later next week. Any way you slice it, several inches of rain are possible over the next few days, with more possible into next week. Highs next week will be in the middle to upper 80s, with lows falling from the lower 70s to the upper 60s by Friday. Enjoy your indoor weekend!
