A Weekend Dry Spell

August 20, 2009

While I’ve yet to see truly heavy rain this week, I’ve at least had a little fall the last two days. We still stand the chance to see some heavy rain makers in our area. It just depends on if you’re lucky (unlucky) enough to get underneath one.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy after 11:00 A.M with a 50% chance for thunderstorms. Highs will be in the lower 90s, with southerly wind around 5-10 mph.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance for a few evening showers. Lows will be in the lower to middle 70s.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with a 60% chance for showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be near 90.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy with less humidity toward morning. Lows will be near 70.

Saturday: Mostly sunny and much less humid. Highs will be in the lower 90s.

Sunday through Wednesday: It will stay dry through Tuesday with plenty of sunshine. By Wednesday we’ll see more clouds and perhaps a few afternoon storms return to the forecast. Highs will be in the 90-93 degree range, with low humidity through Tuesday. That means the heat index will only be around 91-95. That’s actually going to feel nice! Lows will be in the middle 60s through Monday morning, warming to near 70 on Wednesday. I can’t wait for fall, so the mid 60s are quite welcome to me!
