We Won’t Be Picking Up The Bill

August 18, 2009

Hurricane Bill is just churning away this morning. Top sustained winds are up around 100 mph, and should continue to climb. On Bill’s forecasted track, the only areas of the U.S that need to be concerned are the northeast coast. At this point, I think Bill should miss them to the east, but could provide for a couple of breezy days.

In other news, Claudette made landfall with little fanfare, and Ana fell apart near Hispaniola. The forecast remains the same around here, lots of rain in the area, and some cool looking skies to boot!

Forecast………….

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with a 70% chance for thunderstorms. Highs will be in the lower 90s, with southeasterly wind around 5-10 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance for some showers. Lows will be in the lower to middle 70s, with light southeasterly wind around 5 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with a 60% chance for thunderstorms. Highs will be in the lower 90s.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy with lows in the lower to middle 70s.

Thursday: Partly sunny with a 40% chance for afternoon thunderstorms. Highs will be in the lower to middle 90s.

Friday through Sunday: There is a 60% chance for thunderstorms Friday as a cold front will sweep through the area. I think this will be through early on Saturday, so I’ll take rain chances out for Saturday and Sunday. Highs will range from 90-94 each day, with much lower humidity Saturday and Sunday. In fact, lows will be in the middle to upper 60s Saturday and Sunday night!
