Typical Summer Stuff

August 6, 2009

Heat, humidity, and a bit of rain are all on tap over the next several days. Nothing really leaps out as a huge severe weather or tropical threat, so I’ll get right to it. Gotta get crackin on things in shirt central!

Thursday: Partly sunny with a 30% chance for thunderstorms. Highs will be in the middle 90s, with heat index values topping out around 105, much like yesterday.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy and humid. Lows will be in the middle 70s.

Friday: Mostly sunny and mostly dry. There is a 10-20% chance for a wayward shower or two, but most will stay dry. Highs will be in the middle to upper 90s.

Friday Night: Mostly clear and warm. Lows will be in the middle 70s.

Saturday: Partly sunny and hot with a 20% chance for an afternoon thunderstorm. Highs will be in the middle 90s.

Sunday through Wednesday: It looks like the pattern changes once again by Sunday. A good coverage of thunderstorms can be expected each afternoon as high pressure moves to the east and allows a nice enhanced seabreeze to form everyday. It looks like one of those deals where our best chance for rain will be each day from 2:00-7:00. Coverage of the rain should be around 40-50% each afternoon.
